Founded in 2010 by Jason Koerber, Elm City Music is committed to providing the greater Mondadnock Region with quality private music instruction.  Our location is convenient, clean, and relaxing.  Private instruction is available in Piano, Voice, Saxophone, Clarinet, Flute, Recorder, Trombone, Trumpet,  French Horn, Guitar, Drum Set & Percussion, Violin, Viola, Cello, Upright and Electric Bass, Music Theory and Improvisation.  All of our instructors are well versed in all styles/genres of music and are adept at tailoring the lessons to fit the student's level & learning style.  We welcome students of all ages and abilities.  From beginners to advanced, our faculty will help you achieve your musical goals.  All our instructors perform professionally & incorporate performance into their curriculum.

Brass Ensemble

Welcome to Elm City Music's Summer 2016 Brass Workshop directed by Dan Farina & Chris Rymes!  The Workshop is open to all brass players in the 4th - 12th Grades and Adult.

The 2016 Summer Brass Ensemble will be week long session held at the 2016 Elm City Music Summer Workshop, St. Joseph School, Keene, NH.  This class will meet for the entire week from 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM and will culminate with a Concert at the end of the workshop week. Daniel Farina is a graduate of Shenandoah College and Conservatory in Winchester, VA. He has free-lanced as a trumpeter for a multitude of orchestras, brass groups, jazz ensembles, recording studios, and as a soloist in the Northeast. He can be heard on composer Larry Siegel’scompilation CD “All Go Forward and Back!” as well as Disney’s DVD “Little Einsteins-Our Big Huge Adventure” (Dan recorded the trumpeting of character Quincy and the orchestral trumpet work for this DVD and & playhouse Disney episodes). He has performed in NH with singer Michael Card while he was on his "Promise" tour.  In 1996 he recorded, with organist Bev Caldon, a CD of ceremonial music for trumpet and organ.  Most recently (Summer, 2011) he recorded with the Sacred Path Singers on their CD, "Walk In Peace" (innerharmonymusic.com).  Currently he is principal trumpet with the NH Philharmonic Orchestra, Heritage Brass Quintet, Raylynmor Opera Company, Brattleboro Concert Choir Orchestra and Keene Chorale. He has also performed with the Dartmouth Symphony Orchestra, New England Brass Ensemble, Tom Foolery Band and various show orchestras.  His past teachers include Robert Cummings in NH, Ed Cooper and Scott Nelson in VA, and Charles Schlueter and Dana Oaks in MA.  He was trumpet instructor at Keene State College for 7 years and currently teaches at Brattleboro Music Center, Putney School and Elm City Music.  He performs on Bach instruments (Bb, C, & Eb) and a Shilke (piccolo).
